Below is the letter Greg HEUZE sent to the investigators ready to help him solve the mystery of the murder of the architect of Brussels Town Hall!

Dear Investigators,

Let me introduce myself: Greg Heuze… and I’m delighted to welcome you here!

If you’ve found your way to my site, it means you want to help me with my investigation… and I thank you! I do need your help: a few months ago, on a trip to the United States, I came across a drawing in the Metropolitan Museum that reminded me of my home town, Brussels.

Back in Brussels, I decided to check… I wasn’t wrong: the image shows one of the sculptures on the Town Hall! My curiosity was piqued… I went to the Royal Library and researched the architect behind the building: Jan Van Ruysbroeck.

Legend has it that while preparing the ground for the Town Hall’s second wing, Jan Van Ruysbroeck realised a chasm would prevent him from building a wing symmetrical to the first… After the public unveiling, disappointed by the building’s asymmetry, he is said to have thrown himself from the top of the spire… I thought my research would end there… And yet I received a message from the Order of Architects saying it had a lead on the possible murder of Jan Van Ruysbroeck. So I set off in search of the Truth… I gathered many clues but unfortunately didn’t have time to finish my research. That’s why I need you! If you agree, one of my associates will hand you my notebook and equipment so you can piece everything together and finally separate truth from fiction in this story.
